In the following video Dirk, your course moderator and Engineer in the Delft Hyperloop II team will share his knowledge of braking. In the previous video we discussed how to get our Pod up to speed. However, we also need to have a braking system to stop at our destination or during transit in case of an emergency. It is of utmost importance that these brakes will be reliable and safe. If the propulsion malfunctions, the Pod will stay in place. If the brakes malfunction, we have a more serious problem.
