In this subsection, you have met Stokes’ law and have learned to apply this law to situations for spherical shapes in a laminar flow (Re < 1). You can also describe the two different components that form the total drag force. Furthermore, you know how to use the drag coefficient by calculating the drag force of an object.
In the next section, you will learn how to apply the theory about flow around spheres to real life problems, like a falling hailstone!
