4.1.3 The partition coefficient

Course subject(s) 4. Mass transfer

Welcome to the first chapter of this new week about mass transfer between two phases. In this chapter, you will learn about the definition of the partition coefficient. Mass transfer, between two phases, is a situation that often occurs in industrial processes such as distillation, extraction, absorption and stripping.

An interesting spark at DSM Delft will elaborate on this by giving an example about expanded bed adsorption. Good luck!
