Welcome to the last module of this course, module 6! This module consists of the last case on Samsø.

As you probably know by now, inclusive energy systems consist of 4 elements, the 4 A’s, where stakeholders can focus on when operating in these kind of energy systems. We have had Access, Availability, Affordability and Acceptability. In the case of this course on Samsø, a Danish island that has become an autarkic island, fully powered by renewable energy, all these aspects can be identified. In the past 20 years the people of Samsø have changed their energy system completely, and in this module you will be able to discover how they did that, and what is to be learned from their transition.
