6.1.3 Heat transfer by radiation: Stefan-Boltzmann

Course subject(s) 6. Radiation

Welcome to the last week of the course ‘Advanced Transport Phenomena’. You’ve almost made it! This last week is about a completely new subject: radiation. Do you now immediately think of danger? Or did you already know that radiation is everywhere and not necessarily dangerous?

Radiation can be explained as energy, in the form of particles or  waves, that is travelling through space and it can also cause heat transport. For example, solar radiation is great! Do you want to know why? Go to the next page and watch the spark!
