6.1 Short-time: ending

Course subject(s) 6. Unsteady conduction and diffusion

Another chapter is finished. Well done!

Now you know the physical explanation of why some objects feel warm (wood, clothing) and others feel cold (iron, ceramic) while having the same temperature. Also, we dove into penetration theory and short-time heating or cooling. Now you can calculate how fast compounds diffuse into the ground and how fast heat is transferred into an object. You can probably see all kinds of examples all around you!

In the next chapter, we’ll get into long-term heating.

Good luck!
