What can you do with a mathematical model?

Course subject(s) 1. Introducing Mathematical Modelling

In this section we invite you to explore two advanced examples of mathematical models developed by professionals:

  • Example 1: Wind gusts around a building
  • Example 2: Sediment in an estuary

Although we’ll be working with simpler models in this course, these examples give a clear idea of the potential of mathematical modelling.

Move on to the next pages to explore what can be done with mathematical modelling and start thinking about what you want to model in the future!
