Content of the Learning Sequence

In this learning sequence you will learn about collaborating across borders and time. In contrast to the previous lessons, we have chosen the form of an interview in this case. Hennie Huijgens interviews Erran Carmel via a Skype connection. The following topics will be discussed in the interview:

  1. How research on GDSE started in the 1990s.
  2. Research on time and temporal distance.
  3. The impact of time zones.
  4. The role of technology, when dealing with time and distance.
  5. The main differentiators for GDSE: nomadism, scatter time, and time shifting.
  6. Temporal distance.
  7. Follow the sun.
