Upstream public engagement in R&D decision making; the case of Nanotechnology in Health Care Alireza Parandian wrote a master thesis about the use of nanotechnology in health care. This is a practical example of how theoretic methods on how to manage technology can be adjusted in real-life cases. Constructive Technology Assessment is chosen as method of analysis. First the concept and applications of nanotechnology in general will be explained, later on also the applications of nanotechnology in health care will be mentioned. Parandian also addresses the possible controversy and social embedment of the use of nanotechnology.
