The Department of Biotechnology engages in internationally leading education programmes and ground-breaking research as a basis for scientific, technological and societal innovation in industrial and environmental biotechnology.
The Department of Biotechnology contributes to several bachelor (BSc) and master (MSc) programmes. The long-standing alliance between our faculty and the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Leiden has led to the provision of joint undergraduate (LST and MST) and postgraduate (BSDL-EDU) programmes.
