MSc Filippo Lafleur
Filippo LaFleur has been a researcher and teacher at the Faculty of Architecture in the Department of Urbanism since 2015. He is responsible for research within the Transitional Territories graduation studio; North Sea, Landscape of Coexistence, and for the Delta Urbanism research group, specifically under the framework of DIMI Delft Delta Initiative on Mobility and Infrastructures project: NEXT / EXTREME – Constructed Natures. Before he has been principal investigator in the interdisciplinary research under the framework of the special project: Intelligent SubSurface from 2015 until 2017.
His interest lies at the intersection between landscape, urbanism and ecology in regards to spatial and temporal transformation of both land and maritime landscapes. Through projects he investigates interrelations between natural processes, societal practices, and (geo-)political dynamics. He has a strong emphasis on the agency of spatial interventions and on the role of representation and design as research instruments.
