Prof. André Jorissen

André Jorissen is professor of Structural Design at the department of the Built Environment of TU Eindhoven at the chair of Timber Structures. In addition, André Jorissen is a structural engineer and building physics consultant at SHR Hout Research. At TU/e he lectures in the lecture series on seismic structural design. Furthermore André Jorissen was chairman of CEN/TC250/SC5 (Eurocode 5 – Timber Structures). Beside this he is a member of CEN/TC250/SC8/WG3 (Eurocode 8 – part on Timber Structures) and of the working group that is responsible for the NPR 9998, the Dutch Code of Practice for seismic design in the northeast of the Netherlands.
