Course subject(s)
3. Adaptive Reuse Management
Video Lecture 3.3
The financial feasibility analysis is part of the process of deciding the highest-and-best-use of a vacant building. Highest-and-best-use means: to find the most suitable use of a building or plot, that generates a financially feasible reuse scheme. To decide the highest and best use, a 5-step- approach is used:
- Finding market opportunities for different options;
- Assessing legal possibilities;
- Assessing functional and technical feasibility;
- Assessing financial feasibility;
- Selecting the best option;
Have a look at the video lecture below to find out more about feasibility calculations in the determination of the highest-and-best-use.
