Braced and unbraced structures

Course subject(s) 3. Civil Engineering

As explained earlier, a temporary structure consisting of steel posts, beams and braces is necessary to carry the loads of the precast planks and wet concrete. These temporary structures need to be stabilized, which can be done in different ways: braced or unbraced.

In the videos below the difference between braced and unbraced structural systems will be discussed. First we will introduce both systems in (Un)braced structures part 1.
