2.2.5 Implementation and Review
Course subject(s)
Module 2. System approach to understand city logistics
The last steps in the system approach is Implementing an Alternative and Reviewing Performance.
Implementing an Alternative
Once an alternative has been selected for implementation it is put into practice. Implementing alternatives can typically involves construction, regulation, control, guidance, enforcement or marketing.
Reviewing Performance
After implementing an alternative it is necessary to review the performance of the system to assess whether the goals and objectives have been achieved and the original problems have been solved. Sometimes side-effects can be produced after implementing alternatives that may create new (unexpected) problems that need to be addressed, so the process continues.
