1.0.1 Robots in society

Course subject(s) Module 1. What’s on your mind

Should robots be given the ability to take important decisions?
Should robots be given rights in our society?
How can robots be deployed so that they are actually beneficial for our society?
Should we develop robots that look like humans?

Artificial intelligence and robotics are developing at an ever-increasing rate. How will this influence our society? Are you concerned that it might be a threat to humankind? Or are you of the opinion that we can regulate how we continue to create robots to ensure that they will only be beneficial for us?

In this first video Virginia Dignum will introduce you to the topic of this online learning experience: the impact of artificial intelligence and robots on society.
