Welcome to Module 1 on Waste Management and Critical Raw Materials!

In the following video, Jan-Henk Welink introduces the main focus of the course and the content of the MOOC in the following weeks, as well as what to expect in this module of this week.

Jan-Henk Welink is a researcher and project leader at the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, with a focus on circular economy and waste management. He set up and taught the lecture sustainable transportation engineering and logistics at the Delft University of Technology. He manages projects set up for the KIC EIT Raw Materials. He set up and manages the knowledge platform on sustainable resource management in The Netherlands that aims to inform companies, governments and other organisations via seminars, master classes and courses for professionals. For the tri-partite university partnership Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability (CfS), he involves companies into research at this partnership. Jan-Henk’s background is on waste management and worked for several companies and governmental organisations.
