2.0.3 Ethics of AI

Course subject(s) Module 2. Open up your mind

As machines and algorithms are interacting with humans more often, it is becoming increasingly important to develop ethical frameworks to steer AI and robotics research and development. However, this sounds more simple than it is.

  • Are human ethical standards appropriate for robots and AI?
  • Everybody is different; how can we unify this in one human ethical code?
  • How can we develop and use AI in ways that are fair, accountable and transparent?

In the video below, Virginia Dignum will introduce the topic of ethics in AI research and development.
