Robots and artificial intelligence are being developed at a rapid speed. It is up to us which roles we give to them in our society.

  • How do you want robots to act in situations where they are expected to take control?
  • What should they know about us and how we react?
  • Can robots be crucial to our safety and wellbeing someday?

In this video, Rijk Mercuur, PhD Researcher on Social Artificial Intelligence at Delft University of Technology elaborates on the possibility of robots fulfilling a useful role in society, through the example of robots saving people in case of a fire.
