Module 4: Design of healthy buildings
Welcome to the first lecture of the last module! In this lecture, Philomena Bluyssen will give an introduction of what you can expect from this module, in which you will learn how to design a healthy building.
She opens this module by answering the question of what a healthy building entails.
Note that since we recorded this lecture for you, the content of the other lectures for module 4 has been spread out over more video lectures, to give you more in-depth information on each topic. The structure of module 4 is as follows: you will learn how to design façades for natural ventilation in lecture 4.5, windows for lighting in lecture 4.6, a lighting systems in video 4.7, and finally a heating and cooling system in lecture 4.8. You will learn how each topic relates to health and comfort problems in older buildings, and to energy-efficiency.
