4.3.1 blind quantum computing

Course subject(s) Module 4: The power of simulation

Many of you are working in the cloud on a daily basis. Sometimes you are not even aware of the fact that, for instance, your phone saves pictures and data in the cloud. The quantum computer will most likely not be a computer you will have in your house. It will be assessable via the quantum internet. In the next lecture Stephanie talks about the concept of blind quantum computing.

Main takeaways

  • A great application of a quantum internet is that it enables secure access to quantum computers in the cloud.
  • This is known as secure delegated quantum computing or blind quantum computing.
  • Neither the input data, nor the algorithm used need to be revealed in order to obtain the result.
  • You only need a small quantum terminal at home to use the big mainframe far away.
