4.6.1 Façades and Ventilation: Air, Acoustical and Thermal Quality, Energy

This lecture is about a very important function of a buildings’ façade, which is ventilation. You will learn how to design façade ventilation in order to support a healthy and comfortable building and to reduce the energy demand. The role of façade elements for natural ventilation will be discussed, as well as how this relates to acoustic quality, air quality, thermal quality and the energy demand.
