5.1.3 Stadstuin Overtoom project

Course subject(s) 5. Sustainable Housing Management

Introduction to a case from practice: Stadstuin Overtoom by housing association Eigen Haard

In the Netherlands, housing associations are important actors in making the housing stock more sustainable. They own around 1/3 of all homes in the Netherlands. Amsterdam-based housing association Eigen Haard is not only one of the largest social landlords in the country (60.000 properties), but also one of the frontrunners in sustainable housing management. TU Delft professor Vincent Gruis talks with Jurgen van de Laarschot, urban real estate developer at housing association Eigen Haard, about the SHM challenges and opportunities in the Stadstuin Overtoom project.
