2.4.1 Lecture 4: EV institutions in the Netherlands: Holland E-Mobility

Course subject(s) Module 2. Institutional Theory

In the previous interview we looked at general EV policy in the Netherlands. One of the institutions that is involved in this policy was already mentioned: Holland E-Mobility (Note: In some occasions Holland E-Mobility is also called Formula E-Team, this is the same organisation). In this video we have an interview with the chairman of Holland E-Mobility, Bert Klerk. We will explore how such an institution, in this case a public-private platform works and how they come to decisions.

Learning goals for this lecture are:

      1. Get an idea of organisations in Holland E-Mobility
      2. Get a grip on the concept of a public-private partnership
      3. Understand how Holland E-Mobility accelerates EV adoption
      4. Identify how Holland E-Mobility helped with coming to a single standard for charging cards
      5. Learn which lessons can be learned for other countries
