Stability of a rock on a bed with current only
Stability of rock on a bed with current only. u=0.97 m/s, h=0.2 m, psi=0.07, full movement, tests by De Boer.
Stone stability after stone expansion
Overview of widening of a river with colored stones on the bed; turbulence wedge is clear; at 1:00min erosion of bed is indicated. At 1:28 min a “still picture” of damage on the bed. At 1:46 minutes the 2nd tests starts, showing clearly the turbulent mixing wedge. Stones are moving at the boundary of the wedge; at the end “still picture” with the damage. Tests by Zuurveld.
