The first hour covers questionnaire set up and formulating questions. Open versus closed questions. Scales of measurement: nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio. Statistical test and scale of measurement. Attitude scales Thurstone and Likert.
The second hour discusses the ways to go from abstract construct to concrete measure. Reliability, split-half method and Cronbach’s Alpha. Types of validity are explained with examples.
