3.2.2 Participatory approach in planning
Course subject(s)
Module 3. City logistics solutions
We understand that the SUMP is an approach emphasizing the “learning” (i.e. detecting judgement errors and improving the next iteration). How should this be implemented? In this video, Ron interviews Dr. Hans Quak about the concept of living labs in the context of urban freight transport planning. This is a new way of implementing the SUMP, as well as other singular city logistics improvements.
Hans is a well-established consultant and researcher in city logistics, working for TNO, the Netherlands. He has a lot of experience in carrying out pilots and tests for individual companies and cities.
