15. The Space Environment
Course subject(s)
Space Lectures
In this lecture Prof. Ir. B. Ambrosius talks about the conditions found in space, specifically those that cause orbit perturbations. He covers atmospheric drag found in the lower earth orbit, and the inconsistencies in the earth’s gravitational field. In the second half of the lecture he talks about the effect of radiation on a spacecraft, and the way the magnetic field of the earth interacts with space radiation.
