A series of lectures on basic water related processes in civil engineering. It is in fact knowledge of several preceding (bachelor) courses put into the perspective of the urban water manager. This elaborating series constitutes the base for a decent design. This first part deals with: Urban climate, Water balance, Precipitation, Evapotranspiration, Groundwater and Subsidence.
