In the image below you see the functional map of central Rotterdam. The Schiekadeblok urban area is marked. During this module, you got to know this area in Rotterdam quite well. We introduced the different stakeholders, talked about the strengths and weaknesses of the area, looked at the sustainability policies of the municipality of Rotterdam and the city’s real estate market situation.

With this assignment, it’s time to put this module’s theory into practice. We will do this by making a redevelopment plan for the Schiekadeblok area. Continue to the assignment to see how we’re going to do this!
