Welcome to Module 3!

This module is focused on the topic of adaptive reuse management. You will learn about the design and feasibility phase aspects related to adaptive reuse. The topics we will discuss during this module are: Adaptive Reuse Drivers and Challenges – Adaptive Reuse Functional and Technical Feasibility – Adaptive Reuse Design and Calculation – Adaptive Reuse Risks and Solutions.

In this module you will learn:

  1. to understand why adaptive reuse is important, and when you can choose for adaptive reuse;
  2. to apply a tool indicating the adaptive reuse potential of a vacant office building;
  3. to create re-design concepts resulting in an adaptive reuse proposal for a real-life case;
  4. to investigate the highest-and-best-use for this same case
  5. to identify and relate risks and bottlenecks to your adaptive reuse proposal.
