Introduction 3.4

We have arrived at the last section of module 3! You have made an adaptive reuse concept and checked its financial feasibility. But the success of adaptive reuse projects is not only based on financial calculations. Each project has several risks or bottlenecks, and opportunities or solutions, which can greatly influence the outcome of a reuse project. Therefore, we will conclude this module with an elaboration on the opportunities and risks of adaptive reuse.

In module 3.4, first you can study some literature regarding the opportunities and risks of adapting office buildings into housing. Then, you are going to relate the different risks as described in the literature to your adaptive reuse proposal for the Westplantsoen building, and indicate some solutions for it as well.
