We have seen in week 1 that pv modules alone are not enough to design a PV system. In part 4 of the course, which consists of week 5 and week 6, we will discuss all the balance of system components required to design a PV system.

You will learn in detail about the operation of DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters, energy storage units like batteries, charge controllers and even the cables and mounting frames. You will also learn about the maximum power point tracking logic, which is a very important feature that is usually contained in one of the balance of system components.
