6.2 Most profitable room types

Course subject(s) Module 6: New Quarter

In module 4 we calculated the total profit of each room type. Now we would like to know whether the most profitable room type remains the same over the entire first semester (Q1 & Q2).

Just like we did in module 4, we calculate the profit of a room type by summing:

  1. The stay revenue: room price * stay duration.
  2. The revenue generated from the ordered food and drinks.
  3. The revenue from the services that are used.

The profit is calculated by taking 25% of the revenue.
