In deze lezing worden verschillende typen dijken en dammen besproken en de verschillende manieren om ons aan te passen op veranderende waterstanden en meer extreme weersomstandigheden die gepaard gaan met klimaatverandering. Andere onderwerpen die aan bod komen zijn veiligheidssystemen, stormvloedkeringen en multifunctioneel gebruik van flood defence systems.
