Reducing Industrial Wastewater Pollution, Lake Tai.PDF
Lake Tai Basin is part of a densely populated Yangtze River Delta waters system. The fertile ground surrounding the watershed creates a perfect area for settlements, industrialization and agriculture. With the fast growing economy little concern goes into the environment. Agricultural, domestic and industrial waste water is dumped in the water system without treatment. The government created a pollution control program with the goal of resolving water problems by 2010, but this program has not been able to prevent water pollution. This report focuses on the industrial part of the pollution problem.

Reorganization of Chinese Water Management

Reorganization of Chinese Water Management.PDF
This essay is about the water shortage in North China. In order to supply North-China with sufficient water, the South-North Water Transfer Project (SNWT-project) is developed, according to the design and planning of the Chinese government. The essay has been written with the assumption that the SNWT-project has not been executed, whilst in fact it is in operation with the building of the East dam and Middle dam.
