Pre-assignments - Tests

The pre-assessment test is meant to check the knowlegde on the theory of 'Planning and Design' and 'Finances' . This knowlegde is required before the student is allowed to start the design project.
The test must be made before the design exercise is handed over by the instructor.

The design projects must be executed in groups of 2 persons.
In the project a quality problem at a treatment plant has to be solved. Firstly a general study must be made about the solution of the problem. Which processes are possible, how can they be incorporated in the treatment and make a choice of a process. After presentation of the solution, the project can be further elaborated. The final result is a pre-design in which is indicated how the problem can be tackled. In the pre-design schemes and drawings have to be presented. The pre-design must be summarized in a report and will be discussed during the oral examination.
