Course subject(s) Module 2. Battery Technology for EVs

Now that we have learnt about battery technology, let us revisit the Carver EV and look deeper into the battery. The Carver electric vehicle uses 5.4 kWh Lithium iron phosphate battery. The charging time is 4.2 hours to 80%, and 6.5 hours to 100%.

The battery, along with the battery management system, is located in the back of the car, between the 2 wheels:

In this next video, Chris van den Brink, Technical Director of Carver will tell us about the type of battery they used and why they choose it, their methods to ensure battery longevity, and charging methods of Carver electric vehicles.
