2.7.1 Build your own electronics
Course subject(s)
Module 2: Electricity & magnetism
In this Engineering & Applications module, we want you to try out building your own electronics at home. Watch the following video. Afterwards, read the instructions below to do these experiments yourself!
We have collected some references (instructables) for you. You can use them to get more detailed information on some of the projects (or similar projects). And there are a lot more examples on this website!
- Dipole antenna
- Buzzer device (and the 555 timer can do a lot more things!)
- Weather station
- Solar tracking
- Oscillator Synthesizer
If you are really into building your own life hacks, we recommend that you get some basic electronics, like a micro-controller (an Arduino / Raspberry Pi / Photon), a breadboard, and some basic components, like resistors, capacitors and wires.
