In the second video, Olivier Hebert and Miquel Ballester stress that Fairphone has objectives that go beyond just “going circular”. They also give a vivid description of the Fairphone design process.

  • Fairphone try to incorporate social issues (fair trade, for instance) when developing a new phone. They regard this as being separate to their circular activities.
  • Design decisions made at Fairphone are a good example of the Circular Economy principle “Think in Systems”.
