Adjacent Equilibrium

Course week(s) Week 5
Course subject(s) Beams

The stability equation of a structure can be derived from the first variation of the second form of the potential energy. However, there is also a quicker way to obtain the stability equation, namely a technique called adjacent equilibrium. There are a few constraints for using this method, but if there are satisfied, the method works well.
