In the third chapter of the course the students will learn about beams. The knowledge acquired in chapters 1 and 2 will be put to the test on beams and the stability will be discussed. At last the Rayleigh Quotient is discussed aswell as the subject of adjacent equilibriums.

  • Stability, Bifurcation and Postcritical Behaviour of Elastic Structures [4.3 & 4.4]
