In the second chapter of the course the students will learn about discrete structures. The stability of such structures is discussed as well as the post critical behaviour of perfect and imperfect structures. After that snap-through and unstable post critical behaviour are discussed as well as multiple degrees of freedom in a structure.

  • Stability, Bifurcation and Postcritical Behaviour of Elastic Structures [2.7 – 2.12]
