Introduction

Through its specific history as harbour city in the Dutch delta, Rotterdam proofs to be an excelent example of modern urban design. This makes it very fit as study subject for present day urbanism.

This first part forms the introduction to the lecture series. Focus is on urban residential typologies in Rotterdam Zuid. Exemined will be various forms of city maps that can be used for successful analytical methods.
