6. Satellite Orbits I

Course subject(s) Space Lectures

In this lecture Prof. Ir. B. Ambrosius talks about satellite orbits. First the equations of motion of a spacecraft in orbit are derived, and expressed with Kepler elements. From these equations different orbits can be distinguished, which are described later in the lecture. The two orbits which are discussed are the elliptical and the circular orbit.
