1.2.2 EADTU Report on Covid Times

This course is partially based on the Research Report- Blending Your Education: Lessons Learned During COVID shown below.

Emergency Remote Teaching is different than normal online and blended teaching.

The report defines terms in digital education and describes teacher readiness and the dark sides of isolation during repeated lockdowns. A 3-part emergency plan is highlighted:

  • releasing a lecturer satchel with campus-specific resources,
  • change management reviewing educational tooling needs and providing a social space at the campus level for lecturers to discuss various issues and innovation,
  • and adding social elements to course design to increase social learning spaces.
This Digitel Pro course is designed utilizing the EMBED self-assessment for the course-level described in this report. There is a forthcoming literature review further expanding on course design implications for isolated students.
