Week 1

In this week there are lectures are about “Introduction to Stability” and a small assignment.

As part of this chapter of the course the students will need to read the chapters that cover the basics of Buckling and Stability:

Buckling of Bars, Plates, and Shells [1.1 & 1.3]
Stability, Bifurcation and Postcritical Behaviour of Elastic Structures [Chapter 1]
