Course Contents |
Solar cells are presented as advanced semiconductor devices that deliver electricity directly from sunlight. The emphasis is on understanding working of a solar cell, fabrication of solar cells, PV module construction and design of a PV system.

Study Goals |
After completion of the course, the students are ablo to:
a) explain the physical working principles of PV conversion in solar cells b) recognize and describe the various solar cell technologies, their current status and future technoligcal challenges c) analyse the performance of solar cells and modules d) design on paper a complete photovoltaic system for any particular application

Lectures on EdX platform, flipped classroom concept/contact hours are focused on instructions

Literature and Study Materials |
