In the first lecture of Offshore Hydromechanics part 2, the teacher ir. Peter Naaijen will start with an introduction to the course. He will then explain why we study the behaviour of floating structures and waves. This lecture will also tell you more about the second order linear motion equation that describes the motion of a mass-spring system. This mass-spring system will then be compared with moving ships in waves.
