4.5.2 Lecture: Wing Spars

In the previous lectures, we have analyzed the strains and stresses due to two loading cases for the fuselage structure. We would also like you to understand the strains and stresses in a wing structure. What is a typical loading case for wing structures during flight? Wing bending. In this last lecture we will look into the function of the spar elements in the wing and how they transfer loads and stresses in the structure.
